Spring 2022

  • AE 6015 Advanced Aerodynamics: Concepts, derivation, and application of aerodynamic fundamentals with emphasis on advanced knowledge in analysis and design of fixed-wing, launch/atmospheric return vehicles, and rotating systems
  • AE 6310 Optimization for the Design of Engineered Systems: Optimization problem formulations for engineering design. Worked on a project to optimize the minimum time to climb for a supersonic interceptor aircraft by modeling the flight dynamics and using the adjoint method to compute the gradient for a gradient-based optimization with constraints.
  • AE 6344 Aircraft Design II: Applied concepts learned to complete the preliminary design stage of Airbus's A220-100. Worked on a grand challenge that involved developing virtual models for a racecar's subsystems using Dymola, calibrating the models, and creating an interactive dashboard to simulate testing different configurations.
  • ME 6102 Designing Open Engineering Systems : Provided a scientific foundation for the development of design models and methods and design support tools. Worked on a group project that utilized various concept generation and down-selection methods to develop a drone injury risk mitigation concept composed of an alert system, bladeless drone design, and door-deployed parachute.

Fall 2022

  • AE 6373 Advanced Design Methods I: Modern probabilistic design methods and techniques. Worked on a group project to create an economically viable 300-passenger aircraft meeting all regulatory requirements and infused with modern technology.
  • AE 6551 Cognitive Engineering: Technologies and work environment to support human cognitive performance. Worked on a literature review paper on Human Factors in Commercial Aviation Safety

Spring 2023

  • AE 8900 Special Problems: Individual Research Project titled "Real-time visualization of simulation results using animation tools"

Summer 2023

  • AE 6362 Safety by Design: Flight certification and Airworthiness requirements are mapped into formal scenarios. Worked on a group project for the functional safety analysis on the Joby vehicle.
  • AE 6372 Aerospace Systems Engineering: Systems engineering and quality engineering methods and tools including MBSE, IPPD, PLCM. Worked on a group project for the design of a disaster response search and identification attritable air vehicle
